In the new 2.0 light, the word “Mind” implies pressure that is above normal or optimal levels. After years of research, I realized it all started from my “habit to escape,” which, in turn, served back negativity or resistance in an endless loop. In my ignorance, I compounded my problems by suppressing life’s challenges, including my overall relationship breakdowns that I left unfixed.
Naturally, these issues never went away and would only cycle back to the surface of my mind, again and again.
Whereas, when the word Mind gets used for things like lovely, beautiful and colourful, it’s mostly secondary in my world, though I definitely haven’t discarded the positive side altogether. However, overwhelming positive emotions and tranquillity felt from the word Mind don’t stand out as much as the negative components do. At most, they only temporarily pass through my thinking, so they are far from anything permanent or stable.
Rather than try to flip this arrangement and make Mind positive, I’ll continue observing the facts of what I perceive while aiming for a different type of balance. In the end, I hope to neutralise Mind by using the energy of deeper understanding, and not the countermeasures of thought.
Section 1 Summary
Let’s Finalise the ‘Meaning’ Setup Process by reviewing three main points covered thus far.
- Less is More is tricky:
– Initially, my inner demands love the taste of “Less,” which is usual with certain ideas, i.e., the tasty-holy makings. This increase in positive mental processing causes sensory exhaustion and invites distaste, i.e., the bland-unholy makings.
– I might be convinced I am being “Less” when, in fact, I’m really being “More” in the background as a “Less” part-timer.
- Creation of the Baby Mindless Ideal:
– After knowing what a Default Mind feels like and not wanting it anymore, I created the opposite in a Baby Mindless Ideal, leading to today’s Mindlessing.
– To avoid adding to my problems by continuing my More-ish habits, I watched myself process my psychological activity—paying specific attention to the function of ideas and ideals. I observed them cycle between inflation and deflation (positive sensationalism → monotony → negative sensationalism → monotony → repeat), which strengthened and matured my psyche.
- Attachment to words, symbols, and images:
– My overall attachment and fierce identification with words, symbols, and images aren’t healthy. Why invite problems into my world when I don’t have to? Why emotionally entangle myself in ideas when I can release them and have more energy for use in the real world? Why be anything at all, especially when carrying a highly sensitive mind?
