Efficiency & Optimisation

System Checkup

It’s now time to bring out the inner Doctor-Programmer hybrid helper. Let’s look at our ability to self-heal, or fix, code and decode ourselves.

Sometimes life requires that we become a Doctor and write a few handy mental prescriptions on another level. Don’t worry, these cost nothing and are very safe to consume.

Nowadays, when I call upon my willpower I run a quick diagnostic check first.

I question myself with:

Can I consolidate the number of instances or programs that my Will needs to perform?

Followed by:

Do I really need the majority of them taking up precious room?

Is the new idea that is asking for the power of my will able to blend in with the one greater goal using a clear channel for my energy to flow through? In other words, can I see a close relationship between whatever it is I’m envisioning and the way of my nature? If so, can I allow things to come together on their own accord simply by dropping everything else that doesn’t serve my best interest? Including the impulsive Positively-Driven Willed ideas that are hard to escape?

I know that I must be aware of multiple threads processing between various ideas competing over the energy of my attention. Otherwise, if I’m careless and place my willpower at every corner of life, I should expect a bombardment from a surrounding fleet of issues. Both my rewarding and punishing (concerning/objecting background chatter) CLASH, and this quickly turns the situation into an unstable environment for acting efficiently.

A One-Mind Order

When my willpower encompasses an overall or a centralised organisation, as one stronger process containing smaller related instructions (making everything lightweight), it means I no longer abruptly change my ways to cater for each distant idea from a different fragment of my mind. I no longer find that one persona envisions one thing, while another one forms something else to take over in the next moment. Then, another lights up even more ideas before a counterbalance shapes my mind as reality closes in.

My willpower starts unifying only because I see what’s not serving the bigger picture.

I won’t bend over backwards in one aspect or trip over in another aspect as much between different paths and directions. With fewer angles, less unnatural push and pull, fewer mishaps, and definitely reduced overlapping, everything becomes smoother when it all falls under the one roof. And for the first time not having my rewards and resistance fighting it out so hard, I arrive at a natural or neutral ground, the only place I firmly move from.
