God or Anti-God, I see many people manage their polarised beliefs and often wish that had of been me. I could’ve saved myself a headache or two (or a thousand). Also, I’m fascinated at how traditional belief networks mobilised the masses over the ages, regardless of all the distortions, lies, chaos and bloodshed.
Sure, one can criticise each remote system, sub-system or translation pack as I like to call them. But, traditional belief has created some amazingly cool gadgets, fun toys, creature comforts and medical miracles from the rise of our Lord Sci-tech, who’s qualities come from a collection of Gods. Not to mention, all the massive infrastructures tall wide and long as the architect’s/engineer’s dream, realised.
You see, if any of those factories were picked up and placed here, you could bet your life that local traditions and unions would spit at the incoming pennies. They would jack the price up big time! I don’t know about you, but this is why I’m now absolutely grateful for religions I don’t completely understand. Mass Behavioural Maintenance/Management that organises life and labour is clearly and conveniently found in my kitchen, living room and everywhere else.
I’m wrapped in energy derived from religious disciplines on the backend, regardless of the exchange. I’m part of a culture who farms other cultures for a better lifestyle thanks to a few well-organised words and symbols in a strong network.
On a planet nearing 8 billion, I thank traditional belief at home and abroad for the space and lower toxicity I experience today. 🙏
